At first I thought that this picture was taken somewhere in Europe. The same atmosphere, the people, tables, coffee shop, there's no nothing typical American.
European atmosphere is into the bargain illustrated by the German flag, German subtitles. Genuine European café, and more specifically German....But than I saw tags and the all clear, yeah! New York is a city of many cultures.
Hahahah, really at first I thought it was in Europe, hahaha.

well I told you ... America has something from Europe. Unfortunately the old beautiful architecture is being replaced by new (here undoubtedly).
I really appreciate your observation, F.
Actually NY is inhabited by various ethnic groups and different origins.
I was amazed by the high number of blacks, Latinos, Indians and Arabs in NY.
The typical American people(who we saw on the movies) ... rare.
